Celebrating the Opening of Arukah Foundation’s First House
Saturday, 11 October 2025, was a truly special day for the Arukah Foundation, the official opening of our very first house. What began as a vision to create a place of hope, healing, and new beginnings has now become a reality, thanks to the incredible support and generosity of our community.
Letter of Thanks
Royal Village was established by the Arukah Foundation to bring healing and hope to our community. Our vision is to create a safe haven for children affected by abuse, neglect, or molestation, a place where they can heal, grow, and believe in a brighter future.
Introduction to Arukah Foundation
We had the privilege of planting the first Royal Family Kids Camp in the Klein Karoo in 2017. Since then, we have already held six successful camps in the Ladismith area, where 192 children’s lives have been affected and changed by the programme.
Healing Takes Time
At the Arukah Foundation, our work goes far beyond providing food, shelter, and safety. Every child who comes into our care brings with them a story, often marked by loss, neglect, or trauma. While our home offers a fresh start, healing is a journey that takes time, patience, and deep understanding.
